Dobrinj has been the cultural and historical center of the
municipality Dobrinj carrying the same name since as long as
people can remember. The Dobrinj municipality consists
of twenty-one picturesque villages situated in the northeast
part of the Krk Island and representing one of its
most preserved oases, rich with cultural and historic
sights. Unspoiled nature and a pleasant climate offers an
ideal rest for body&soul.The most characteristic sights of the old ”kaštel” Dobrinj,besides its original old stone houses and narrow stonepavedstreets, are its Gothic stone church of St. Stephan with its well-known porch ”cergan” and a tall church tower, which kept many of their medieval characteristics.
